Overview

Delaware County CASA is an organization that allows citizens who care about the future of our community to influence the course of life for those who need a better outcome. Volunteer child advocates assist case workers with research, meet with children in schools and the home and report back on their observations, recruit volunteers and increase awareness in the community, and can even attend court proceedings to ensure the voice and needs of the child are heard.

The Solution

Frankie, A Superhero with Fur is a publication funded by the Delaware County Court Appointed Special Advocates program. It will provide children a valuable guide to understand the purpose and impact of their courthouse facility dog, Frankie. The book is to be dispersed to children within the CASA program as well as to CASA members throughout the state of Indiana.

YORKTOWN ACTIVITY BOOK.

The Yorktown Fire Department has developed an annual week-long program that teaches
essential fire safety lessons to schoolchildren within the community. Studio 165+ was approached by
the Yorktown Fire Department seeking a publication design that would further assist in engaging
and educating the youth of Yorktown on the fundamentals of fire safety etiquette.

Following the guidelines set by the fire department’s emphasized topics of discussion, we developed
the Yorktown Fire Department Fire Safety Activity Book that will educate children on the key components
of fire safety. The activity book is structured as a story, and is told through the eyes of the town’s titular
tiger mascot in order to further engage a younger audience while remaining uniquely specific to Yorktown.

AN UNDERDOG’S TALE.

Perhaps one of the most emotionally charged projects I’ve done to date, and one of my personal favorites.
An Underdog’s Tale is the visual retelling of my partner’s rescue dog, Hachiko, and the life he potentially lead prior
to finding his forever home. I curated this book both as a Christmas present and a gentle reminder; that no matter
where you come from or where you are now, there is always a light to guide you to a better tomorrow.
